Jill has been in the field of social work for over 25 years and has been providing therapy for nearly 20 years. She has worked in numerous professional and agency settings including HIV/AIDS, Oncology, Juvenile Corrections, Community Mental Health, Veteran’s Affairs, and private practice. Jill is trained in EMDR therapy for trauma, CBT-E for the treatment of eating disorders, and other common modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and IFS.

Michelle has fifteen years of experience providing mental health services to adults and children in various settings, including psychiatric inpatient, residential, and schools. She has certification in EMDR and trauma-focused therapy. She also spent several years developing educational programs for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and is passionate about advocacy for mental health needs within our community.

Prior to starting here, Angela was gaining experience in social service and advocacy work, as well as, in providing diagnostic and therapy services to a wide range of clients. She has specialized training in EMDR, Complex Trauma, CBT, Trauma Focused- CBT, and Theraplay. She also has advanced training in Perinatal Mood Disorders.

She specializes in counseling individuals facing infertility as well as relationships, anxiety, parent-child difficulties, and mood disorders. Her professional interests are complex PTSD, art in counseling, and holistic wellness.
Melissa provides care to clients who are facing infertility of any sort. This includes men, women, and couples who have encountered problems with conception or child loss. She understands the process of assisted reproductive technology and how this causes a great deal of stress.
Melissa traveled to Greece with a team of therapists to study the cross-cultural roots of wellness in relation to holistic healing. She is interested in the connection between mind, body, and soul, which includes nutrition and exercise. Her hours will vary due to her full time job of college student. Alexis is a junior at Bradley University, studying Psychology and French. Her goal in the future includes working with children and being an advocate for children’s mental health. Alexis is the Vice President of Psi Chi (the psychology honors society) and she works part-time at the Smith Career Center (Bradley University) as a Career Peer Advisor helping other students with general career-related topics such as, resumes, cover letters, CVs, interview tips, etc. Career Peer Advisors also host, facilitate, and present at events. At this job, Alexis is good at and has learned a lot about forming connections, public speaking, and creating comfortable environments for all. She will be helping Healing Hearts with our marketing efforts and public outreach as well as social media. People who know Alexis describe her as an upbeat and friendly person. Providing and maintaining a positive attitude is one of her favorite personal attributes so stop by and give Alexis a warm welcome and ask for help if needed.
Franny (a tea cup poodle born 4.8.2022, and weighing in under five pounds) joined the Healing Hearts Team in 2023 as our "therapy puppy in training."
Also called "Floof," Franny is small but mighty and a "little fireball of love." She loves to greet, lick and sit on your lap if you will invite her to do so. And, Franny really loves treats and Doritos! Feel free to share if you see her.
